I am coming near the end of C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia. "The Silver Chair" is the penultimate novel in the series, as I read them in chronological order. Narnia's benevolent deity Aslan has already told all the Pevensie children…

The penultimate book in the Narnia series and it feels like this was a bit of a filler book. I didn't care for Eustace in the last book so I wasn't a huge fan of him being a main character in this one. Jill seemed non-existent at times.…

I'm still not a fan of Eustace, but at least he is tolerable now. Mr. Lewis' prose is more lore-heavy and deals a bit more with religious symbolism, but it comes in such a way that it does not detract from the story.

The Silver Chair was very adventurous. Eustace and Jill, with Puddleglum, travel far from Narnia to the Northen lands in hopes of finding King Caspian's lost son, the only heir to the throne of Narnia. Aside from the adventure, I thought…

Lewis's "The Silver Chair" isn't as strong as the other books in the series, but it still encapsulates the spirit of Narnia nonetheless. The story is reminiscent of that found within “The Magician's Nephew.” In both books, two children…

I have enjoyed the journey of two children brought to Narnia in search of the missing prince. Another keeper!
