Does tend to drag, but the last twenty or so pages hit like a sledge hammer from the emotions. This may be the most emotional Cussler book I've ever read. I knew what was coming, but the way it's written, the word choices, the emotional climax really hit home. It's on the same level as Alegiant, and It. I'm not easily swayed by emotions, but this one really moved me.
The story was good but a little long. There is some coarse language in the book.
I think this is one of my favourites by Cussler. Entertaining if lacking credibility, fast-paced even if repetitious at times, overall it was a good example of Cussler's style. Not the best writing but certainly not the worst
Shock Wave ---- by Clive Cussler c - 1996. ---- A good read, slow in coming . . . Enjoy ---- RichardPaul
