The Body Artist is a love story, a ghost story, and most of all a story about grief and the human capacity to transform heartache into art.
After his massive, exhaustive "Underworld," Don DeLillo has written four slim, yet dense, novels, which can maybe be describe as minimalist with maximal (9/11, the economy, art) themes. I like DeLillo, but his characters all talk like super smart robots.
