Really enjoyed this quick read .
Might just check out more by this Author as this was a very interesting and delightful story.

An engaging, action filled story, which unfortunately is based on a contrived circumstance. Kit Carson could certainly have sent word or a letter to his daughter to tell her he was headed to New Mexico after the Fremont Expedition. If he had, she would not have felt abandoned, and been compelled to run away.
