Finishes the series on a strong footing. Makes you want a true sequel though.

as the third book in the genesis series, we are just starting the story of shannara. as i read the end many years ago, i find this a good start to the epic series

When I picked this book up I didn't realize that it was the third book in the trilogy. That said, I loved it. I was able to pick up on the characters, as well as the plot. On its own this book is amazing. There are several aspects of this book that are somewhat predictable.

I have not read the other books in the trilogy, so I would not know if it is a successful climax to the story.

There were some awesome parts, but generally this book was a disappointing and anticlimactic end to this series

"The night was deep and still, it's darkness a layer of cottony impenetrability that cocooned Kirisin and Simralin, as they crept through the trees toward the sleeping city of Arborlon."
