U.S. president Ashton is in Salamanca, Spain to announce plans for a major global summit on terrorism. As he stands behind the podium in front of a loudly cheering crowd, he is shot twice. This is followed minutes later by a small explosion and then a massive blast. Secret Service agents Barnes, Taylor, and Holden immediately jump into action, trying to find the terrorists responsible amid all the chaos. First, the events are seen through the eyes of television news producer Rex Brooks. Then, the assassination attempt is replayed from seven different points of view. Each perspective reveals a few more clues.

Oh brother. OK, I gave it 2 Stars, because it was done very interestingly, and that innovation I liked & thought was good. Yes, there are a lot of big and likeable stars in the film also, but other than that… It’s ridiculously unbelievable, and I’m not talking about the car chases, suspending the laws of physics, and eating bullets like candy, though there is plenty of that too. No, I’m referring to the responses & dialog, and even more so, the fact that if anyone knows anything about security (especially the Secret Service POTUS detail), all of the stuff they show in this film (i.e. the Plot), just could never be pulled off that way, for a myriad of reasons. And I do mean ALL. So it’s a complete fantasy. There is basically nonstop action, but just be prepared to fast forward through a lot of absurd stuff, that logically would also not make sense. (e.g. Having worked as a Cameraman, Director, and Producer on live multi-camera shoots, where a Director is calling shots from a control room, and editing live, I can tell you that that whole sequence was one of the most excruciatingly phony exchanges I have ever seen, even for Follywood.) : P

Just ok, not great.

Once you get the hang of it, the concept of the movie is interesting. Still, it is a little tedious going back and forth over the same plot from different viewpoints. There are several unexpected twists, especially at the end, so that was good.

This movie was fairly original in its plot. Retelling the events of a few minutes multiple times, albeit from multiple perspectives, the viewer is often left on the edge of their seat as each character’s perspective unfolds and ends with a cliff-hanger. However, for much of the initial part of the movie, the repetition gives the movie a lackluster feeling as the same major events occur again and again. Nevertheless, this approach had its merits as it provides leeway for an unpredictable plot. Just when you think you’ve put the pieces together, you get a twist. Eventually, the climax of the movie culminates with the convergence of all the perspectives. Lastly, the plot is fairly one-dimensional in that it is very simple and free from any sub-plots. I would not recommend this movie to anyone seeking an original plot or a deep story.

Starts well, crashes stupidly. A bloated, kill-crazed mess laced with corn syrup.

One of my favourite Movies. Really recommend it to anyone's who's patient about seeing the same clips over and over again in different people's points of views.

A great action movie full of twists that had me guessing until the very end.

Interesting story line. Took me awhile to get in but once the various "vantage points" were covered it got really interesting and had a nice twist to it.

Luis: Is everything going to plan?

Suarez: To the last detail.

Luis: And the President? Are you sure they sent a double?

Suarez: The beauty of American arrogance is that they can't imagine a world where they're not a step ahead.
