Early, vintage Bill Murray, but the film hasn't aged well. I think it's the fact that a lot of movies copied (and in cases improved) on the ideas in the movie. It's got some laughs and is worth a viewing, but it's not a "classic".

this movie does not stand the test of time. I laughed at 1 joke. Bill Murray's character was so annoying.
The only thing that could have saved this train wreck was if they revealed their camp was on Crystal Lake and Jason Vorhees showed up and killed them all.

Unlike many summer camp movies, 'Meatballs' was both funny and sweet. It wasn't particularly inane. Nothing particularly offensive. I really liked it. Lots of funny bits.
