"For nearly a decade, the legendary World War II aircraft carrier USS Enterprise held a pivotal place on the turbulent seas of war, engaging in some of the fiercest multi-front battles ever witnessed in modern combat. The only carrier to be front and center in every major sea conflict in the Pacific, the Enterprise and her crew's battles were marked by intense firepower, instinct and a 360-coordination between surface ships, the aircraft above and the submarines below. In each episode using incredible CGI visualizations, Battle 360 follows the Enterprise and its men through another conflict of WWII as they fight off the enemy from the air, sea, and episodes of this hit series on 4 DVDs."--Container.

"Battle 360" make me proud to be an American. The courage and bravery shown by the men and women who served in World War II is inspiring. I will never forget their sacrifices to keep our country free. To those of you who served in World War II, my thanks. To those who you who have served since World War II, my thanks as well. "Battle 360" recreates the battle in the Pacific like no other video I have ever seen!
P.S. We must not forget all those who maintained and repaired the Carrier Enterprise at Bremerton Ship Yards. They would do major repairs which should have taken months in a matter of weeks to return the carrier back to battle in the Pacific.

"Battle 360" is a 4-disc DVD set that is well worth viewing if you have an interest in World War II battles and carrier battles in particular. Using archival films and computer graphics, the episodes follow the sea battles of the USS carrier Enterprise from Pearl Harbor through the battles of Midway, Santa Cruz, Guadalcanal, the Philippine Seas and other battles to the final desperate sacrifices of Kamikaze dive bombers. Along the way there are explanations of the intents and strategies of both the Japanese military and the US military; and interviews with veterans of the battles as well as military historians. Two thumbs up for this series! I plan to check this out again in the future to take another look.

This is an excellent series, weaving the battle stories of survivors, commentary by military experts, and come-to-life cgi graphics. Very engaging.
