Great story , very touching .About love and loss and that there is always hope.
More for the older child . Very poignant and well done .

Lovely story but miscategorized as a children's book. Story is wonderful and poignant but appropriate for older children or better, for adults.

The Heart and the Bottle has a place in my heart. I love any and every thing Oliver Jeffers has ever illustrated. But this book is especially poignant.
Sit in a comfy chair, read it, and your chair wont' be so empty anymore.

A little too deep and then too sad (once explained) to the preschooler. Beautiful story for me as an adult though.
