Even though I have often enjoyed the dry, sarcastic wit of the cantankerous, slapstick comic, W. C. Fields, in some of his other pictures, I found that I was only marginally entertained by the contents of these 6 shorts._____ Dating from between 1930 - 1933, this was W. C. Fields in the early days of his career._____ And, yes, Fields (in his own, special way) certainly did deliver some wonderful one-liners here, but, far too often, there were some painfully noticeable lulls in the flow of comedy where I could almost hear a pin drop as the action literally fell flat on its face, right before my eyes.
