I loved this informative yet heartfelt look at Dolley Madison, wife of James Madison, one of the most influential first ladies of all time. Although a first lady who mingled with the Washington elite and entertained some of the most powerful dignitaries in the world, she was also a loving mother. Based on Dolley’s own diaries and writings of those who knew her best.
