i really wanted to like this book - i love the idea of secret societies and hidden intentions but this book is NOT well written, to the poin of utter distraction.

there is very little character development, no context or histroy provided and i dont think that was a stylistic choice, just a hurried narrative that doesnt give you time to get to know the main character or care about him in any meaningful way.
