Jaclyn Wilde is a wedding planner who loves her job - usually. But helping Carrie Edwards with her Big Day has been an unrelenting nightmare. Carrie is a bridezilla of mythic nastiness, a diva whose tantrums are just about as crazy as her demands. But the unpleasant task at hand turns seriously criminal when Carrie is brutally murdered and everyone involved with the ceremony is accusing one another of doing the deed. The problem is, most everyone - from the cake maker and the florist to the wedding-gown retailer and the bridesmaid's dressmaker - had his or her own reason for wanting the bride dead, including Jaclyn. And while those who felt Carrier's wrath are now smiling at her demise, Jaclyn refuses to celebrate tragedy, especially since she finds herself in the shadow of suspicion. Assigned to the case, Detective Eric Wilder finds that there's too much evidence pointing toward too many suspects. Compounding his problems is Jaclyn, with whom he shared one deeply passionate night before Carrie's death. Being a prime suspect means that Jaclyn is hands-off just when Eric would rather be hands-on. As the heat intensifies between Eric and Jaclyn, a cold-blooded murderer moves dangerously close. And this time the target is not a bride but one particularly irresistible wedding planner, unaware of a killer's vow.

Delightful!! I didn't consider book to be romantic suspense; more of a GOOD mystery. With the added benefit of comedy and romance. I loved it. It's a great " who done it" that makes you want
to finish it. I actually laughed out loud as I read it!

Linda Howard is one of the best selling writers of romantic suspense. This book is full of humour, light suspense, and a sizzling romance. The story is about a wedding planner named Jaclyn who meets a detective, Eric, while at traffic court. One thing leads to another and Eric and Jaclyn enjoy an incredibly hot one night stand. Jaclyn is currently working with a bridezilla of epic proportions, Carrie, who frankly, anybody would want to kill. The maid of honour quit the wedding, then dressmaker quit too, then the caterer, then the florist.. everyone would have a motive to kill Carrie. But suddenly Carrie turns up dead, and Jaclyn is a prime suspect. To her dismay, she has to work with Eric to find out who the real killer is…Unfortunately the killer is on the loose and has a new target…Carrie. If you love wedding details this is a light, frothy meringue dress of a book!
