A solid read for me. The concept was intriguing. It really wasn't til the end that you understand what the The Keeper's Tatoo is all about. The told a story of how family never give up on each other, a blood family or not. Nyssa is strong character and writen well.

I had to set this book aside about two thirds of the way through and was never inspired to pick it back up. The writing is well executed, but the storyline seems overdone for someone who has been reading sci-fi and fantasy for a long time. Still, this would be a great book for someone who is just being introduced to the genre or who likes a Willow-esque type quest storyline. I definitely recommend not putting it aside for a few days, because it is not the kind of book that will haunt you until you've finished it.
