Cake pops are "tiny candy-covered confections made of crumbled cake mixed with frosting that you can mold into different shapes and decorate for any occasion." These little cakes on a stick vary from decorated balls to more ambitious shapes such as monkeys, baby chicks, ice cream cones, and a variety of holiday designs. Bakerella (aka Angie Dudley) shows how to make these treats with step-by-step instructions and photos, as well as clever tips for presentation, decorating, dipping, coloring and melting chocolate, and more.

I love Bakerella's blog, and the book is very handy for technique and ideas when making cake pops. Mine don't quite look like these, but it is a fun project to do on a rainy day.

Great ideas! I've made some cake pops and they turned out great, I'll be making them again for sure.
