Violence: Not suitable for children. I previewed it and turned it off after a few minutes.
Violence: Several Lanterns are killed during their battles with their enemies. One is literally torn apart by the Shadow Demons.

Add a CommentI didn't actually request this, the library staff just handed it to me in a pile of things I had on hold. I tried watching it, but it was kind of annoying.
A very clumsy retelling of some of the best Green Lantern tales, with liberal reinterpretations that often wreck it. Krona is one of my favorite villains, in part because the best illustrations of him are deliciously subtle, and this revision turns him into a planet-sized monster with no attempt at dialogue; Atrocitus suffers likewise. The individual sub-stories tend to be better than the framing device around them, but only the one devoted to Laira is actually deserving of being called "good", even by cartoon standards. It should surprise nobody that Alan Moore's name is nowhere on this project, despite the fact that the stories "Tygers" and "Mogo Doesn't Socialize" are both haphazardly represented here. Too impenetrable for anyone who isn't a GL fan, and too unfaithful for any hardcore aficionados of the character, this movie is only worth anything to very casual viewers, who can appreciate it for being pretty and fun without taking it too seriously.
The Green Lantern ---- DVD-2011---- I know that I wrote a review for this Cartoon Movie. ---- I only Watched the part that was Green Lantern History. ---- It seems to be a great story for children: w/ PG for a rating. The Art is of a simple non-committial structure. and that makes it easy to follow. ---- The Kids should Enjoy this history and do-good/hero's.
---- Enjoy! ---- RichardPaul (finished 3-2013)
I watched the film, and it was soo good. I loved Ryan Renolds as the main character, I hope they make more (: xxx
Very repetitive. good for a nap.
The film wanders a bit as a new recruit to the Corps is told stories about Green Lanterns past and present while awaiting an impending battle. The final confrontation between the Corps and the villain Krona picks things up considerably and helps the film. Perhaps more understandable for fans of the Green Lantern mythos. Still, much better then the deeply uneven live action movie.
Disappointing
Not a must have but a strong entry into animated action.
looked to fake
I really enjoyed this film. I liked how they focused on the Green Lanterns as a Corps and not just on Hal Jordan and Earth. I especially liked how they told six stories from within the larger story. My favorite story (and character of this film) was Mogo's story. It took me completely by surprise and I loved it!
