This book was very different than what I had imagined. In a way, that was good. However parts were unclear and the ending was very sudden and many of the conflicts had not been resolved. A good read, but too many elements were missing.

A disappointment after I so much enjoyed The Lotus Eaters," her first novel. Plot was disjointed and the caretaker, Minna, was not very credible. Ending too trite compared to the heaviness of the novel.
