Amazing documentary!

Especially loved the scene with the live performance of Trench Town Rock!

Terrific. One of the best music docs I've seen. They really did their homework, spoke to so many close people to Marley, did a great job setting the tone of his childhood and background, and I ended up feeling like I got to understand the person rather than just the performer. The only things I could critique it on are that I feel as though it might've glossed over Peter Tosh a bit, and it could've used just a tad more editing. Overall a really wonderful job though, an intimate look into a truly gifted, driven and impressive artist. Oh, and the music!!!

This movie was so incredibly moving. It made us want to re-examine how we live, how we treat people, and what we really stand for.

Bob Marley is truly a revolutionary, and his music lives on in his millions upon millions of fans around the world.

Whether you are a fan (or not), you will be moved by this very interesting, informative, and thought-provoking DVD.

I was also in tears at the end. Just amazing.

I have seen many documentaries on Bob Marley and have read a couple of very good bios ('Catch A Fire' by Timothy White & 'Bob Marley' by Stephen Davis)on him and Marley may be the most impressive of them all. Includes great interviews with many people close to him in his life. Recommend this to anyone intersested in Bob Marley and his beliefs

Excellent documentary describing the life and evolution of Marley himself, and also reggae music, politics, and other socio-economic issues affecting Jamaica, Africa and the world during Marley's lifetime.

Misconceptions about genetics aside, this is a great way to connect and learn about a great man and peacemaker. I was moved by several of the scenes, and the persons interviewed were highly interesting. This was a great way for me to rekindle a connection to Reggae music and to further appreciate Rastafarianism. As Bob Marley said, "You cannot forget your past" ...a lyric I should remember!
