Probably the poorest of any of Connelly's many books. The main protagonist a scientist named Henry Pierce has to be about one of the dumbest characters ever. For a supposedly smart guy he just cannot stay out of trouble or stop making totally dumb moves. I would not let a guy like this walk my dog. I had to struggle to get to the end of this clunker. A surprising come down for Connelly from the excellence of the Harry Bosch series. Don't waste your time.

I have been a fan of Michael Connelly for years. This book was a complete and utter disappointment. Henry Pierce is a tech entrepeneur who has just gone through a breakup. At his new apartment, he begins receiving calls from men looking for Lilly. Instead of simply having the number changed, he begins to search for Lilly. I was not able to suspend disbelief enough to get into the events that followed.

I enjoyed this book. The science was easy enough to understand, there were alot of twists especially near the end, and what a surprising ending it was!

OK - entertaining enough. Not sure I liked this one as much as his Harry Bosch novels.

Henry Pierce has just moved to a new apartment after a break up with his girlfriend and co-worker. And to top it off he is trying to keep the lid on a secret computer chip that is based on the technology of using molecules. Then he starts receiving phone calls that are for a girl called Lilly. When he starts investigating, he finds out that she used to have his phone number and is now missing. Starting off with a great premise this novel takes a nose dive into the mediocre. Coincidences multiply until the totally disappointing and predictable ending. What a disappointment from Michael Connelly!
