Disappointment. Hated this book....scanned most of it after a rough 1st chapter. Can't believe people like this.

Told from the perspective of four different characters, the plot is interesting and the method Banks uses to propel the story is very effective.

This book is full of introspection and not a lot of action, but I liked it anyway! The story is sad, but beautifully told, and the descripitons of scenery are lovely. A very quiet, thoughtful story.
