The Total Package
A Novel
Book - 2016
The New York Times bestselling author of Big Girl Panties is back with a funny, sweet, and sizzling novel about love, redemption, and second chances.
Heartthrob star quarterback Tyson Palmer has it all: a million-dollar arm, a winning season and the promise of a Superbowl ring. But more importantly, football's biggest star is the ultimate comeback kid. After an addiction to painkillers nearly derailed his career, Tyson got sober and went from zero to hero in the eyes of the public.
But one person remains unconvinced: Dani Carr, a sports commentator with high ratings and following of her own.
Dani can't forgive Tyson's transgressions or forget a single passionate night with him back in college. To make things worse, Tyson doesn't realize that the bombshell with huge ratings is the cute co-ed whose heart he once broke.
But can a sports journalist trying to claw her way to the top and a quarterback who knows all about rock bottom make it to the Super Bowl without destroying each other? And what will happen when Tyson--riding high now that he's revived his career--realizes he needs to make an even more important comeback with Dani? Can he use his million-dollar moves to get past her defenses--or will she sideline him for good?
Stephanie Evanovich is a full-fledged Jersey girl from Asbury Park and the New York Times bestselling author of Big Girl Panties and The Sweet Spot.

Add a CommentA true to life story which unfortunately happens too often in real life sports, good characters and an easy read.
This book does a poor job of complicating a relatively simple story line. The first third of the book is spent with drunken loser Tyson, then suddenly we're four years later & he's our hero!! That third could have been covered in 3 or 4 pages. The entire book is this way -- too many words & not enough story line, too much time explaining & not enough happening. I gave up half way through, there are better romance books out there.
I liked this book a lot. It was a quick and easy read that left me looking for more of Stephanie Evanovich's novels. The only thing—I read this before Big Girl Panties, and I wish I had done it the other way around! If you read this one first, you're in for some spoilers for the other books with the same characters.
It took me a while to get into this book but once I did I was hooked. It is a nice light read. I enjoyed it.
A very compelling , romantic love story, between a football star (recovered chocoholic) and and a sports reporter. I finished it in 2 days. I just couldn't stop reading it.
This is a really sweet sports romance that deals with such things as coming over addiction and second chances at love. The whole concept of this book is great! Many people (not just hot football stars) have addiction issues and I feel the way the author portrayed these issues was well thought out and sensitive. Not only that, I felt it to be very real. Readers are able to connect with the characters because they deal with real issues and because they are overall likeable. I also like how the book flowed. There were absolutely no times that I go bored when reading it. Actually, I got so immersed in the story that I couldn't put it down and had to read it the whole way through! Thankfully the book isn't too long!
The story of fame and money always made a good story...Too bad it is so close to the true of people in sports. Ms S. Evanovich did a good job on her second novel...It is interesting, easy reading and make you think...
