A real life adventure complete with rich stories of historical proportions.
Chapman is a self made man who achieves international fame for exploring the Asia/Mongolia areas returning 3 times in the early 20th century and discovering many extinct dinosaurs bones and shipping them to U.S. museums despite overcoming sand storms, dangerous nomads / mongolians and preparing/planning the considerable expedition logistics.

This was a very good book. The only thing I wish it had was a larger, pull-out map, so I could follow along better with each expedition. Through this book, I was able to see what it was like to launch many exploratory expeditions in Central Asia during good and bad times. I was able to learn about cultures I haven't encountered before. And I was able to learn about the lives of some of the key people involved in the explorations. I would recommend this book to people who like to read about adventurers, history, and clashes between cultures.
