Do we need another Rocky/Adrienne romance????!!! Adonis/Bianca romance a bit to similiar to Rocky/Adrienne romance. In Creed 2, Adonis and Bianca should have broken up and Adonis fly solo. That would be much better than another Rocky/Adrienne romance played out by another actor and actress.

Meh. First Creed was better. This was very forced and lack luster.

The same old Rocky story...AGAIN. Not horrible, but not really worth wasting time on, unless you just like this sort of movie.

If you are the champ you don't take on vendetta challengers without talking boxing TV cable rights and who gets what cut. "I want to fight you" then boom there's a fight. Doesn't work that way. Pulls the same heartstrings as the original Rocky though. And that's okay for a nice sentimental boxing movie.

Nothing will ever compare to Rocky and Rocky II—but this movie was enjoyable and the fight scenes are extremely realistic. Stallone is Rocky again and I never get tired of his performance as the proverbial underdog. If you're a Rocky/Creed fan you won't want to miss viewing this film.

.
I don't know why I bother, every boxing movie is exactly the same:
1-Dude becomes champ
2-Unknown boxer challenges champ
3-Champ can't say no because of some personal reason
4-Unknown boxer beats champ badly
5-Champ hits low point, re-evaluates life
6-Rematch announced
7-Training sequence back-and-forth between champ and unknown boxer
8-Champ wins
9-Roll credits
.

While not a fan of violence, the family theme offsets the boxing scenes nicely. Stallone's performance is nearly irrelevant though necessary for obvious reasons. Overall I felt it was superior to "Creed" and for Rocky fans, its well worth seeing.

While boxing is losing its popularity because of the violence and resulting head trauma, the franchise of underdog boxer is still going strong after 42 years: Rocky (1976) through Rocky V (1990), Rocky Balboa (2006), Creed (2015) and Creed II (2018) which brought back Stallone and Lundgren from 1985 Rocky IV to watch over a fight between Michael Jordan (Adonis Johnson Creed) and 6′ 4″ giant Florian Munteanu (Viktor Drago).

Don't miss the Special feature with extensive footage of the very young Stallone and Lundgren in earlier Rocky films: The Rocky Legacy - Hosted by Dolph Lundgren, Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson and others, sit down and reminisce about the enduring resonance of Rocky and its evolution in Creed II..

Creed successfully managed to pass the torch from Rocky Balboa to Adonis Creed, introducing a new protagonist and his milieu while respecting the old, plugging new characters and flavor into an old formula. Building on this, the follow-up could have taken risks and given young Creed his own life, but instead the filmmakers decided to tightly tie the sequel to Rocky IV, a choice equally obvious and disappointing. The cartoonish style of Rocky IV cannot happily coexist with the more grounded Creed films (something inadvertently highlighted when a commentator connects Adonis' ring entrance here with Apollo's in the earlier movie, which is jarring for those who remember James Brown, the biplanes, showgirls, and giant golden ram's head). The result is that the human drama seems hollow and desultory, while Adonis vs Viktor is nowhere near as exciting or inspiring as Rocky vs Ivan.
