The Unbudgeable Curmudgeon is too cute! The illustrations are fantastic — dynamic, expressive, evocative! The story didn’t really resonate with me felt a bit awkward to read aloud even (I tried thrice). But it’s a passable picture book for a one-on-one storytime, where you can discuss the content up close.
