Summary

Young King Tamar makes a gamble with a foreign king - if he loses, he loses his kingdom and his life. Tamar loses the gamble. The foreign king binds him to his promise by an iron ring that Tamar is to wear, reminding him of his promise. The next morning, the king and his entourage are gone. Tamar sets out on a long ardous journey to find the king. But as he goes along, Tamar wishes he could throw the ring away and return to his normal life.
