Every woman should take the time to read this book. It is very detailed, with many charts and color pictures, and you can easily skip the sections that are not relevant to you. Not only will you learn about the Fertility Awareness/Natural Family Planning method, you will also learn about possible causes of infertility and how to detect them without expensive tests & exams, and everything you need to know about your menstrual cycle. This book is suitable for women (and also men -- why not!) of all religious and cultural backgrounds, and while some readers might disagree with the author on certain points, I think she has done a good job at remaining fairly objective as to not marginalize readers based on their religious or moral values. The principles explained in this book can be applied by women of all ages, regardless of their cycle (even if they have "irregular" ones -- that's the beauty of this method). Many myths are also debunked in the book, and it was in that sense an enlightening read for me. I think the basic principle of the Fertility Awareness/Natural Family Planning method should be taught in school. From what I've been told, it used to be taught within the familial unit, but somewhere along the lines, this knowledge has been lost throughout the most recent generations. I believe that knowledge is power. As such, let's reclaim our feminine power and work not against, but in collaboration with our body!
