I wanted to like this book, because the premise is interesting--two young women, a writer and a photographer, get together to solve murder mysteries in England in the 1920s. Since the book is part of a series, I thought the odds were good that it would be an interesting read. Unfortunately, it gets bogged down in way too many characters (I eventually had to write them all down) and they are referred to by their titles as well as first names. You will be able to guess who gets murdered immediately, and the ending is rushed--the evidence isn't even completely processed before the book just stops. Frustratingly, her husband (and not the heroine) makes the final big discovery of evidence.
