I used to enjoy the earlier books in this series when I was looking for a light read. I've been very disappointed with the last 3 or 4. It seems like in the more recent books, Fluke has a series of recipes should like to use and crams them into the story with a heavy hand. I don't remember her earlier books as having as many recipes or having the recipe so obtrusively added. I have read some of Fluke's other books that don't involve Hannah Swensen, and her plot development is much better. I like the idea of a cozy mystery series set in a town that the more you read, the more you know the town, and the more you enjoy seeing people pop up in the background of the current story, but I feel like Fluke is running out of ideas for this series, but not out of recipes.
