This may be one of the best books no one's ever heard of. I quite enjoyed it, with its suspense, clever mystery, and endearing protagonist. The apple references were delicious, too. :) I really, really liked the characters. They probably made the book for me. I would definitely recommend this one! Very well done! Not the absolute best Christian fantasy I've ever read, (A Cast of Stones claims that title) but definitely up there. I mostly stayed involved in the story. Although the authoress isn't that old, her style and plot were very mature. The best part of this book, however, was definitely the characters. I loved Kyrin and Jace! They're so amazingly well-rounded. If you like fantasy, read this.Very well done! Not the absolute best Christian fantasy I've ever read, (A Cast of Stones claims that title) but definitely up there. First of all, I love this whole series. That said, I find Redwall (the first book) somewhat lacking in the charm that characterizes the other books of the series. It's also fairly violent, more so then some of the other books. Personally, I would recommend starting with Mossflower, which is my favorite book of the series. The whole series is filled with adventure, but the loyalty, honesty, and friendship of the characters stands out even more. The good characters are good. The evil characters can be *quite* evil, though, so I wouldn't recommend these for young children. Still, the amazing adventures, moral characters, and wonderful writing make this series absolutely unforgettable. Eulaliaaa!First of all, I love this whole series. I read this book for history class, and I could not put it down! The style of punctuation was distracting at first, but the story soon drew me in. The main character is a totally real person, with real emotions and struggles. Honestly, this book made me a bit emotional, in a good way. The story is heartbreaking. However, the end was the climax of the story in so many ways. It was so bittersweet! My favorite part was the humanness, the brokenness, and the honesty of all the characters. Each of them was a person, a real person, with thoughts and feelings and motivations. In the story, (as in life) God used fragile vessels to carry healing and influence. A powerful story, and one that will stay with you long after you turn the last page.I read this book for history class, and I could not put it down! I write this as I listen to the soundtrack, so I believe I am fully justified in saying that it is WONDERFUL! It sounds so similar to what John Williams wrote! I love the way the composer takes different themes, but still branches out in a new direction. Additionally, I thought the music just . . . fit. It was somewhat melancholy, but ultimately hopeful. The Star Wars franchise should be proud of this addition.I write this as I listen to the soundtrack, so I believe I am fully justified in saying that it is WONDERFUL! Fun concepts, and good ideas, but Cinderella's Dress just didn't capture my interest. For one thing, her relationship with Johnny was super confusing. Also, I felt as though the angry outburst she had about her job was contrived just to throw in an extra conflict. None of the characters were very real to me, and I thought the ending was way too simply accomplished. I don't mind fairy tale retellings, but they have to hook me. Ooh! This one might just be my favorite Agatha Christie yet! I love the protagonist and her adventurous ways. Money problems? Take a trip to South Africa! Sure, that may not be the most practical option, but in this case, it pays off. I really enjoyed the separate characters, and I never guessed who the Colonel really was. Definitely recommended!Ooh! So fun to see what happens next! My one quibble would be the fact that the time travel makes EVERYTHING confusing, but maybe I just need to re-read the first book. A good book, filled with delightful characters and just the right amount of spookiness. I found it very interesting that the two main characters were Irish. I didn't want to put it down! The villain was extremely intriguing, especially since it is difficult to tell who (or what) is ultimately responsible. There is a bit of violence and a few suspenseful/scary moments, but overall, this isn't too frightening a book.A good book, filled with delightful characters and just the right amount of spookiness. Amazing book! Peter Kreeft makes apologetics accessible and interesting. Set up in a dialogue format, this book narrates a debate between J.F. Kennedy, Aldous Huxley, who wrote Brave New World, and C.S. Lewis. They tackle just about everything you could wish for in a good debate. I heard about this from my Literature class teacher, and I would highly recommend to others wanting to learn about their faith. (Plus, it has C.S. Lewis!!)Amazing book! A mostly interesting book which is spoiled by a few problems. First of all, Buttercup is dim. I don't mean that she's slightly behind, I mean that she's annoyingly, life-threateningly, mentally challenged. For crying out loud, girl, you could leave any time! The gates are open!! Secondly, the authorial asides were EXTREMELY distracting. I don't really want to know that, unless it helps the story along. (Although some of them were pretty funny.) I did like the book overall, but I couldn't quite get into it, which is too bad, as its oddness is part of its charm.A mostly interesting book which is spoiled by a few problems. I would tell you every wonderful thing about this book, but that would be impossible. Let's just say I love this book dearly, it being my first introduction to the wonderful works of J.R.R. Tolkien. His writing is impossibly good, and Bilbo Baggins is one of the most likable characters in all fantasy. Gollum is pretty cool, too. He might be my favorite character, actually. Riddles In The Dark is definitely my favorite chapter, for certain reasons. :) The ending is really sad, though. Anyway, the point of this rambling comment is to say: this book is AMAZING and you have to read it at least once in your life (or else!)I would tell you every wonderful thing about this book, but that would be impossible. Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this book. It's been a while since I read any of the others, and the writing style dragged and felt awkward. There was also quite an overuse of italics (twice in one sentence at least a few times!) I didn't really enjoy it, I guess. Nothing is terribly wrong with the book, it just isn't very interesting. The premise was good, but the execution could have been significantly better. (My personal opinion only; no offense to the author or fans of this book.)Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this book. Goodness, how DO people come up with such great story ideas? It isn't fair! I liked this book overall, but I felt that we've gone through the same thing with Holly several times. Not for the faint of heart, nor for those who are intimidated by a long book. I personally think that The Silmarillion gives us a wider view of Middle-Earth, beyond the War of the Rings, but I loved LOTR and The Hobbit too. The one thing I abhor above all else: my favorite books or movies ending. :( Speaking of endings, how many does this movie have, anyway? Moving on, I love this movie for several reasons.
1) The acting is almost perfect.
2) The battles are really awesome, and they're true to the book.
3) Gollum. (New favorite LOTR character - for *certain* reasons :)
4) The ending itself is true to the book.
5) Legolas kills a giant oliphaunt.
6) It's one of the most powerful stories ever.
7) IT'S LORD OF THE RINGS, PEOPLE!!!
That's my take on it, at least. To sum it up, I love this movie. (And you should, too!)The one thing I abhor above all else: my favorite books or movies ending. :( Speaking of endings, how many does this movie have, anyway? Moving on, I love this movie for several reasons.

I liked that the detective didn't actually appear until nearly the end of the book. It made a nice change. This book had almost nothing wrong with it.
